Amelia Cox

Amelia committed to achieving the best possible outcomes while maintaining sensitivity and understanding of the challenges faced by separating couples. She practiced as a family law solicitor at boutique firms on the Central Coast before joining Orbell Family Lawyers. Her experience includes handling divorce, property, parenting, and children matters. She began her legal career volunteering at a Central Coast Community Legal Centre, where she assisted the most vulnerable in her community.

Amelia aims to help families find amicable solutions that prioritise the well-being of all parties involved, especially children. She is passionate about empowering clients to reach agreements without the need for court intervention. Amelia’s commitment to understanding the unique circumstances of each client ensures she provides empathetic and tailored legal advice.

Graduating from Macquarie University with a Bachelor of Social Science and Bachelor of Laws (Honours) in 2017, Amelia was admitted to practice in 2018. She has since specialised in family law, dealing with complex cases involving relocation, family violence, and high conflict. Amelia is a skilled negotiator, regularly representing clients in mediation and before the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia.

Outside of work, Amelia is on an eternal quest for the best cup of coffee and the next good book. As a Central Coast local, she loves spending time at the beautiful beaches. You might also find her enjoying a dance class or spending quality time with family and friends.
