Erika Kingston

Solicitor

Erika is a dedicated family law solicitor committed to guiding clients through complex matters with clarity, empathy, and a focus on practical, cost-effective outcomes.

Erika joined Orbell Family Lawyers after practising exclusively in family law at a specialised Sydney CBD firm. Admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales in December 2023, she brings a strong foundation in both Australian and international family law, supported by qualifications from Ireland and Australia.

Originally from Ireland, Erika holds a Bachelor of Laws from Technological University Dublin and a Master’s degree in Children’s Rights and Family Law from University College Cork. Since relocating to Australia in 2022, she has completed a Diploma in Law from the University of Sydney and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the College of Law.

Erika has experience across a broad range of family law matters, including parenting and property disputes, divorce applications, family violence matters, de facto relationships, and cases with international elements. She applies a strategic approach with empathetic support, prioritising efficient resolution wherever possible while providing strong representation when court proceedings are necessary.

Having experienced separation from a child’s perspective, Erika brings a genuine understanding of the emotional impact of family law matters. She is passionate about clear communication and practical guidance, helping clients feel informed and supported at every stage. Her focus is on building trust and empowering clients to make confident, well-considered decisions with sensitivity and a commitment to sustainable outcomes.

Outside of work, Erika now calls Sydney’s eastern suburbs home. She enjoys travelling and has a keen interest in sport, particularly rugby union and football, and values maintaining a balanced lifestyle.
