Her empathetic and approachable nature allows her to build rapport with clients and ensure they feel heard, respected, and supported during what can often be a challenging and emotional time.
After relocating from the Mid North Coast to pursue her university studies, Layla is currently completing a Bachelor of Laws / Arts (Honours) at the University of Newcastle, where she is a High Performers Scholar. Her academic achievements reflect her dedication, discipline, and strong work ethic – qualities she brings to every aspect of her role at Orbell Family Lawyers.
Layla has developed strong communication and interpersonal skills through years of hospitality experience and previous work as a tutor. These experiences have taught her the importance of listening carefully, communicating clearly, remaining calm under pressure, and adapting to the individual needs of those around her. She approaches every interaction with patience and professionalism and understands the importance of providing clients with a positive and reassuring experience from their first point of contact.
Layla’s dedication and work ethic have been recognised throughout her academic journey. Following the release of the 2025 NSW ATAR and HSC results, she was featured in the Sydney Morning Herald as a testament to her academic achievement and diligence. She brings this same commitment to excellence to her work at Orbell Family Lawyers, taking pride in being organised, proactive, and meticulous in her approach.
As she continues her legal studies, Layla is particularly motivated by the opportunity to develop her legal knowledge while contributing meaningfully to the work of the firm and supporting clients through important stages of their lives. She is eager to learn, takes initiative, and approaches new challenges with enthusiasm and a willingness to go above and beyond.
Outside of the office, Layla enjoys Pilates, reading, and spending time at the beach.
