Caity Walker

Caity joined Orbell Family Lawyers in 2026 after practising family law in both Newcastle and regional NSW for over three years. Admitted to legal practice in 2022, she has worked exclusively in family law and brings experience representing clients across various locations and communities statewide.

Caity has successfully and independently run cases before the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia involving child relocation, abduction and recovery orders, domestic and family violence, substance misuse and parental mental ill-health, exclusive occupation of property, division of self-managed superannuation and investment assets, de facto financial provisions, and statutory timeframe considerations. Outside of the courtroom, she regularly prepares and advises clients on Family Dispute Resolution, Applications for Consent Orders, Financial Agreements, and Binding or Limited Child Support Agreements.

Caity prioritises timely and transparent advice followed by action. Having observed firsthand how delay and unclear guidance can be detrimental to separated families, she is an advocate for obtaining legal advice early. She values clear communication and ensures her clients are promptly informed at each stage of their matter about the process, likely outcomes, timeframes, and associated costs. Her calm, strategic, and no-nonsense approach ensures no stone is left unturned in achieving positive outcomes.

Born and raised in Newcastle, Caity values building strong relationships and rapport with clients in her community. Outside of the office, you’ll find her out and about with her two cavoodles, riding her horse, or cafe hopping with a good book.
